FOI Commission rules Connecticut must release Sandy Hook shooter's documents

FOI Commission rules Connecticut must release Sandy Hook shooter's documents.

The state’s Freedom of Information Commission ruled on Wednesday that State Police must make documents seized from the shooter’s home during the investigation into the Dec. 2012 Sandy Hook Shooting available to the public, the Hartford Courant reports. The hearing was held February 19, 2015 and ruling issued May 13, 2015.

The ruling may be viewed here:

We are working on obtaining the original complaint.

Sandyhookfacts.com has requested many of the same documents in an State Police acknowledged FOI request since May 2014 and will be immediately following up with the CSP to ascertain if there is a new status of our request in light of the ruling by the commission.

For example, the Courant requested "The Big Book of Granny", written by the shooter as well as the shooter's spreadsheet listing the mass murders; two items also requested by SandyHookFacts.com.

Dave Altimari and the Hartford Courant should be saluted fortheir fine work in obtaining these records for the public and hopes the Connecticut State Police stops delaying the public's right to view these relevant documents.

Sandy Hook Facts will immediately renew the original FOI request and resubmit to the CSP; requesting immediate release of our FOI'd documents.

Wow. I don't know about releasing that spreadsheet. It'd be like a shooter's instruction manual

That is a good point; there is definite "fanboy" potential with that document; however, I also requested that document over a year ago. I also requested the 2nd listing, the images of the document. I am sure those are the images that he posted to the forum as to his spread sheets. I'm not sure if Dave Altimari had requested those.
